Carolyn began teaching piano in high school. She graduated from Augsburg College with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a Minnesota teachers license K-12. Carolyn is pursuing a Masters of Arts in Leadership with an emphasis on Music Education. Carolyn has continued to teach piano for over 30 years, in the metro area, northern Sweden, and Western Wisconsin.  
Carolyn, has also taught accordion for over 20 years. She was trained under Minnesota accordionist, Larry Malmberg.

   Carolyn is the musical director of the American Swedish Institute Cloudberries, a women's chorus in Minneapolis. Värsk Spelmän is a Swedish
 folk music group made up of herself,-accordion, fiddle, voice- and her three children. (Look at "Värsk Spelmän" window) Värsk Spelmän has made a CD of original Swedish tunes.
Carolyn is a 20 year member of the American Swedish Institute Spelmanslag, a Swedish folk fiddle group and Augsburg College Masterworks Chorale. 



      Annika began teaching violin in 2003. She began her own lessons at age 3.
Annika is pursuing a Music Education degree from Augsburg College with an emphasis on violin. She is Artistic Director of the American Swedish Institute Lilla Spelmanslag, a kids Swedish folk fiddling group. She just led and produced
a CD of the group who is planning a trip to Sweden. Annika is assistant director of the ASI Cloudberries womens chorus and a member of the ASI Spelmanslag.

      Thomas has been teaching beginning guitar to adults and children since 2003. Although he is in high school, Thomas has patience and skill to give the student a good start in the guitar. Thomas studies classical guitar with Dave Malmberg. Tom is a member of the Lilla Spelmanslag, Värsk Spelmän and accompanies the ASI Cloudberries on the guitar. He has played guitar on the CD´s recorded by Lilla Spelmanslag and Värsk Spelmän. He also plays the piano and violin.
